Departing from the customary routine of meetings and cubicle life can go a long way toward building morale.
Breakfast meetings are all the rage these days. Business leaders have clocked on to the value of early meetings scheduled before work, sealing business deals and developing relationships before the office has even opened--and--without interrupting their workday. They don’t use up valuable working time and are more cost-effective than an expensive business lunch.

Here are a few reasons that breakfast meetings make sense.

INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY. ENTHUSIASM. MORALE.
As people are generally more alert in the morning, a breakfast meeting agenda can be worked through more quickly, saving valuable time. People tend to be much more alert after they’ve had a good night’s sleep, a good breakfast and a great cup of coffee. So not only are people more likely to pay attention, but they are likely to be more enthusiastic about what is being discussed. And breakfast IS the most important meal of the day! A breakfast meeting, in an informal setting, is a great way to start the day on a positive note thereby boosting morale.

EASIER TO FIT INTO THE DIARY
It’s easier to pin a person down first thing in the morning.

MORE GROUP PARTICIPATION
People tend to be at their most relaxed in the morning as they haven’t yet experienced the problems or stresses of the day. As well as helping boost staff morale, all of these positive components help to encourage group interactions and start conversations naturally.

THEY ALLOW PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS TO DEVELOP NATURALLY
The informal and relaxed style of a breakfast meeting setting helps business relationships blossom, making them great for networking.

Attending a networking event helps to raise a business’s profile and ultimately increase sales by developing relationships with other businesses and professionals. Being conducted in friendly yet professional environment, with a structured yet relaxed approach, breakfast networking meetings offer the ideal opportunities to effectively reap the benefits networking events offer, without compromising ‘work time’.

EMPLOYEE LUNCH
Business lunches are the perfect way to provide an energizing break from regular responsibilities. Sometimes, you have to step away from the daily emails and phone calls and get a little face time. It’s about creating a comfortable environment.

CLIENTS/POTENTIAL CLIENT LUNCH/NETWORKING
Lunches work well not only for your staff but also for clients or potential clients. A lunch is comfortable and puts people at ease.

In a typical meeting, the business agenda controls the time frame. If you only have 20 minutes of substantive discussion, you may find yourself dismissed once you make your point. Lunch is different. Eating is an expected social experience and few people schedule a lunch for less than 60 to 90 minutes. Business lunches create a shared experience—people do business with people they like.

Innovative Gourmet provides everything you need for a business lunch. All you have to do is order. It’s as simple as a phone call, email or fax. One and done!

Do you want to do a little something different for your Father's Day lunch or dinner? Here are a few easy, way-tasty recipes with a spin on traditional dishes.

FUN FACT: Father's Day was founded in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd. The first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there.

SUMMER DESSERTS FOR ANY OCCASION

Go Frosé for the 4th!

How do you cool down on a hot B-more summer day or night? Prefer a chilly glass of rosé? Or a fruity frozen drink? Here’s some good news, cocktail fans: if you have a blender and an ice cube tray, you no longer have to choose.

Frosé—A.K.A. frozen rosé—has emerged as the “it” drink of the summer, popping up on trendy cocktail menus from coast to coast and filling our Instagram feeds. And why not? Whirred from a combo of strawberries, wine, and grenadine—and fortified by a shot of vodka—this pretty, pink treat is one part adult slushie, one part sangria, and absolutely, totally delicious.

If you feel like playing around, you could swap cherries or raspberries in for the strawberries or use a splash of tart Campari in place of the grenadine. And did we mention it’s easy?

INGREDIENTS
* 1 (750 ml.) bottle of dry rosé
* 10 ounces fresh strawberries (about 2 cups, sliced), plus more for garnish (optional)
* 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
* ¼ cup vodka
* 2 tablespoons grenadine

DIRECTIONS

*Pour the rosé into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, 8 hours or overnight
* Combine the strawberries and the sugar in the bowl of a blender and let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes, until the berries begin to release their juices
* Add the vodka, grenadine, and rosé cubes. Blend the mixture on high until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with strawberries, if desired.
