...tasty tidbits from the Baltimore/DC food scene...

...witty words of wisdom by Maria...

Providing your staff with a catered lunch every now and again can go a long way to improve and increase employee morale. And-- good company morale can have some pretty great results that will benefit your bottom line, making the cost of the lunches well worth your while.

Company-provided lunches and/or snacks make employees feel more valued for the contribution they bring to the team. You foot the bill for the goodies for your clients, why not show your workers the same love?  Employees feel more appreciated when their employer provides food.

Gathering over a lunch that the company has provided creates an incentive for colleagues to eat together. Not only does this boost team cohesion, your workers may even get more work done, since they are likely to discuss business over the lunch table.

Unhealthy eating habits can decrease productivity, so healthier catered lunches can benefit your company with more work and improved efficiency from your staff.

Once reserved for fancy grocery stores and farmers markets, purple versions of our favorite produce (cauliflower, potatoes, corn, asparagus, etc.) are now becoming more mainstream.

Colors of fruits and veggies indicate which nutrients they possess. So roasting up a blend of both white and purple potatoes, for example, means you're giving your body a wider breadth of vitamins for optimal health.

Things start to become less straightforward when it comes to processed foods made with this violet hued produce, though. Don't assume that a bag of chips or a box of cereal is automatically a healthy pick just because they're made with purple corn instead of the yellow kind. It's still vital to read nutrition labels to ensure your snack of choice is a healthy one. Go purple!

Lemonade is THE most pleasant of summer drinks. Sweet and tart in just the right measure, a well-made lemonade can please the grown-ups as much as it does the kids.

Why not spruce yours up by adding a lil zest and zing? Lemonade Mimosas are refreshing, happy and seriously tasty!

And FYI-if you're watching the calories, just use stevia in place of sugar.
