|Dear Erie High Students and Parents,
We know many of you are eager to see student schedules for the upcoming academic year. Erie High School typically meets 99% of students’ requests for courses. To that end, we ask for your continued patience while we complete the scheduling process so that we can continue to meet a high percentage of student requests while also navigating this year’s unique challenges. Below is a timeline for the release of schedules for the 2021-22 academic year:
Student schedules released: July 30, 2021
Schedule change window: July 30th - August 4th
Counselors respond to change requests: August 5th - August 9th
Schedules finalized: August 10th
One important detail in ensuring accurate schedules for an upcoming school year is accurate enrollment data for each Erie High School student. Please take one minute to verify your student’s enrollment using this form by Friday, June11th.
9th Period Interest
We are exploring ways we can creatively use our space to open up more opportunities for students. One way we hope to do this is by offering a limited number of classes outside of the traditional school day during a 9th period class (3-4 p.m., Monday - Thursday schedule). This is a great option for students who prefer afternoon classes, who have morning athletic commitments, or who like the option of meeting four days a week for shorter time periods.
Families interested in this option should complete this interest form by Friday, June 11th. We will contact interested students and their parents by late June if we have enough interest to accommodate a 9th period class for the 21-22 academic year.
With a new school year comes new opportunities. This is especially true as we look forward to and plan for the 2021-22 academic year, invigorated by the hope for a return to normalcy. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the EHS Administrative Team this summer if there is any support we can provide to ensure a successful 2020-21 academic year.
