Dear Erie High Families,
Thank you for your partnership as we continue to advance the academic and athletic success and well-being of our students. As our school year comes to a close, I want to thank you for your continued support of Erie High School. As you may know, our current head football coach, Chad Cooper, will be joining our administrative team as an Athletic Director and Assistant Principal.
Today, I am pleased to announce the hiring of Jeffrey Giger, a highly skilled and enthusiastic coach as our new head football coach. Coach Giger brings with him 21 years of coaching experience, a robust background of leadership and a passion for student achievement.
Coach Giger is joining us from Brighton High School in Brighton, Colorado. Prior to that, he has a long track record of success coaching in Strasburg, Colorado, Los Lunas, New Mexico, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, in addition to serving in the United States Army. Coach Giger received his Masters in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix, Denver as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from New Mexico State University.
We are very fortunate to have found such a strong, highly-recommended candidate, and are looking forward to the 2021-22 football season.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Erie High School such an exceptional community for our students to thrive. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
