WE WORK ON LAND

Sunny Project Field Exercise

In the aim of the SUNNY project, a team of 7 researchers from INESC TEC were at Crete, Greece from 4 to 12 April, for an integration meeting. During the last 3 days of the meeting, some tests were performed in order to validate an hyperspectral camera calibration procedure, the target (a boat) detection using the hyperspectral and electro-optic images and the tracking algorithm using a gimbal unit.

Open Day CTM

Earlier this month, INESC TEC's Center for Telecommunications and Multimedia (CTM) organized an Open Day with workshops, a round table and an ideas contest. The challenge was, for the first time, to focus on university students, seeking to bring together learning with practical experience in a constantly evolving area.

MarinEye Project Closing Event

MarinEye, an autonomous system for integrated marine chemical, physical and biological monitoring was presented last 29th April at the Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems INESC TEC's facilities at ISEP. This system combines high-resolution imaging, passive and active sonar systems, an autonomous filtration and DNA/RNA sampler system and sensors technologies in a modular, compact system that can be deployed on fixed and mobile platforms.
