June 3-5: Retrieving your student’s belongings from school

As we approach the end of the school year, I want to share with you details on when and how you will be able to retrieve your student’s belongings that may have been left behind when school buildings were closed by Governor Walz.

Using safety precautions such as wearing gloves and masks, school staff will gather your student’s belongings and place them in a bag(s) which will be labeled with your student’s name.

Families are being assigned a specific date and time from June 3 - 5 to pick-up the bag(s) based on your student’s last name as indicated in the chart below. Families can come at any point within that time span indicated in the chart below. (READ MORE)

See chart for pick up and more information here

Goodbye from Ms. Seeley

Dear Parents & Guardians & Armatage Students,

I have mixed feelings about writing this letter.  I’m excited to share with all of you that I’ll be the new principal at Ridgeview Elementary school in Bloomington next fall!  On the other hand, I’m sad to be leaving the Armatage community.  You have all made me feel so welcome and I’ve had an amazing learning experience at Armatage.  (READ MORE)

Yearbook update: Yearbooks have been printed!  A distribution plan is in the works. Each student will receive a yearbook, paid for by the PTA. Families will be notified by email or via a robocall as to how the books will be distributed once the details are worked out.

Armatage Park Improvement Survey

Please take a few minutes to share your opinions and ideas about outdoor improvements at Armatage Park.
The survey results will help Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) staff to prioritize play area and other site improvements.
This survey is open through May 29 and is expected to be first in a series on prioritizing and designing improvements.

Click here to take the Armatage Park survey.

Please share this email with friends and neighbors! For more information, visit the Armatage Park Play Area and Site Improvements project page.

Tips for using Flipgrid

The idea of Flipgrid is for students to be able to share their voice and see other students from Armatage.  All videos are monitored for appropriate interactions. It has been a bit tricky when students access it but for those that have, it seems like they enjoy it.  Here is the link:

You may want to include the following or any of the above in order to promote the sharing:
  • If using a phone, the app has to be downloaded and used
  • The internet browser “Safari” doesn’t work, another browser has to be used:
    • Chrome, Microsoft Edge are recommended by Flipgrid
    • Close all other tabs
  • Sign into Google account right after link access-it should tell you what to do
Contact Marjorie Nadler <> with questions.

We are all in this together!

Check out our Armatage Slideshow
