As we’ve discussed in previous newsletters (here) and (here), the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) gives most employees access to paid sick leave and paid family and medical leave, depending on their employer and the employee’s eligibility. Per the FFCRA, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued a Notice Poster, which employers must post to advise employees of the types of leave that may be available to them.
Employers who have not yet posted the Notice Poster must print and post it immediately as they would any other employee rights posters in their workplaces.
Like other employee rights posters you are required by law to post, the FFCRA Notice Poster has to be posted in a place where employees are likely to see it—such as a break room or near time clocks.
If employers have multiple break rooms, time clock locations, or buildings where their employees work, the DOL advises that employers don't have to post it in each place if there is a central location all employees regularly visit.
For teleworking employees, the DOL has advised that employers who email, mail, or post the Notice to an internal or external employee information website will meet the FFCRA posting requirement.
