Have your say on the future of the Australian Oyster Industry

Each year oyster farmers across Australia contribute funds to progress industry research and development. Some of these funds are passed onto the Fisheries Research & Development Corporation (FRDC), who match the contributions dollar for dollar on behalf of the Australian Government.

It is the role of Oysters Australia to identify and invest these funds in priority research & development projects that support the sustainable growth & improved performance of the industry. Areas of investment are guided by the priorities of a 5-year Strategic Plan and a Board of Directors, consisting of representatives from SA, TAS & NSW peak bodies.

Oysters Australia is currently in the process of establishing a new 5-year Strategic Plan and is seeking feedback from industry stakeholders to help guide the priority setting process. This survey provides an opportunity for stakeholders in the industry to help guide development of the sector over the next 5 years.

The survey closes Friday 29th May. Responses are confidential and will only be viewed by Oysters Australia staff.

Committees & Peak Bodies - It is encouraged that committees and peak bodies submit one response on behalf of the entity so these views can be considered by the OA board. Individual members of these groups are able to submit a second, individual survey response should they wish to put forward their own views.
