2020 is almost over (yes we will make it through). And we are looking into summer 2021! Midwest Environmental Education Conference (MEEC) is coming to Iowa. Please mark the dates of July 26-29, 2021 on your calendar and make plans to join and share your work us in scenic Decorah, Iowa, just across the border from Minnesota.

Exploring Community: Land, People, Water is the theme. Conference organizers are looking for speakers to contribute presentation, field trips or other session types. These sessions might explore:

  • How can we explore and re-define “community” to include all land, water, and people?
  • What are we learning about how these systems support, enhance, and depend on each other?
  • How can environmental education, conservation, and outdoor recreation work together to support, enhance, and create vibrant, sustainable, resilient, healthy communities for all?
Contribute to the program
Deadline: November 1, 2020

MEEC is a biennial, regional conference hosted on a rotating basis by Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. It brings together hundreds of environmental and conservation educators of all kinds from across the Midwest to learn, share, and be inspired.
