If you are in the Denver area, join us for Weekend for Cause at the Parker Racquet Club on November 15 and 16. This event will have something for everyone (including kids!), and will feature an Open Level Exhibition Match. Check out the full details and schedule of events.
Time and space for this event have been generously donated by the Parker Racquet Club, which means that 100% of the proceeds will go straight to helping Haitian families.

Registration Time!
This past month we worked on getting all our current kids registered for a new school year. Believe in Haiti was able to help open a school and get an additional 150 children ready to attend. We love seeing so many families and children jump on the opportunity to go to school! We are also prepared and registered students for our next Sewing Program session. This was a busy room filled with minds ready for growth.

Each year at the beginning of school, Believe in Haiti makes house visits to check on St. Rock and gather and assess needs in the community. Part of that visit is measuring heights and weights for each child in school. We had a little help this time as the student became the teacher and helped with gathering measurements.
|
|
|
|
The manioc is doing great in St. Rock. The farmland has a large section of manioc, which will eventually be used as a staple ingredient in cooking and baking.
|
|
|
|
Believe in Haiti has a donor committed to match up to $50,000! This matching grant has been extended thru the end of November. Any donation is helpful and very much appreciated!

Haiti Spotlight
Mama Augustine
Mama Augustine used to be one of the cooks in the feeding program, but now she has reached even higher. With a micro-loan from Believe in Haiti, Mama Augustine has begun her own business of preparing and selling food to the local people. She is doing quite well! She now provides for herself and her family, and has already began to pay back the loan.
