Bull sharks, tiger sharks, and makos are all found in temperate coastal waters worldwide. Bull sharks are the most dangerous to humans, as they are strong, aggressive, and range close to the shore where people swim. The novel Jaws was based on a series of real bull shark attacks in the early twentieth century.
