We Have A New Host!

We are pleased to announce that the Apple FCU Foundation Board has approved our recommendation to award a $300,000 grant to the Loudoun Education Foundation (LEF) to sustain and grow the Teacher Induction Network. Pending approval of a memorandum of agreement, LEF will serve as our new host beginning Jan.1, 2021.

A Regional Focus
LEF has a broad commitment to strengthening public education for all.  While an important segment of their work supports Loudoun schools, LEF has expanded their influence beyond the county’s borders to benefit teachers and students across the Commonwealth.

"As an education foundation, we believe that critical programs that benefit teachers and students should not only be available to one school system but to all school systems who need it, " said LEF Board President Scott Miller.

A Seamless Transition
We plan to provide our Network members a transition process that will maintain those key elements that have led to our impact.
  • Our focus, vision and mission will remain the same.
  • We'll keep our structure and activities.
  • We'll continue collaborating through our established meeting schedule, data collection, advisory board, website, enewsletters and professional development.

A Proud History
We've come a long way since we started this work in 2009. Your commitment to developing and nurturing a new generation of teachers has been the engine driving this Network.  Thanks to each of you for that and for supporting us in our efforts to identify a new host.

As we close, we'd like to share a quote from one Network endorsement letter we received. "In my considerable experience as an educator and scholar, I have seldom been as impressed with the accomplishments of a group as I have been of dedicated professionals who have participated and conducted this work and am unaware of any project like it in the US."

Here's to the TIN, and here's to our future work together!
