The Legume Information System (aka LIS) website is updated monthly and new data and features are added regularly.  The most recent addition to LIS is the legume genome for Lupinus angustifolius (narrow-leaved lupin), which was recently published in The Plant Biotechnology Journal.  You can view the Lupin genome via GBrowse and JBrowse on LIS, or at the CSIRO Lupin Genome Portal

LIS has a number of tools available for legume researchers. The Genome Context Viewer was developed for the exploring microsynteny relationships among genomic segments.  This tool displays corresponding genomic regions around a selected gene.
The LIS team has created a user-focused tour about how to use and interpret visualizations in the Genome Context Viewer. The tour shows how to view the data for each legume track and/or each triangle gene glyphs. The gene family color coding presented in the Genome Context Viewer is explained during the tour. The tour also demonstrates how to change the parameters to modify the tracks and alignments.
Please explore, and contact us if you have questions or want any additional features. For more frequent updates about LIS and related legume projects please follow us on twitter.
