Welcome to my latest newsletter and I hope you enjoy the totally new format. In my newsletters I will be sharing all kinds of information including some of the latest research, product reviews, a favourite recipe, the latest blog post, events coming up and easy tips for healthy living and eating. 

It's around this time of year when the spring flowers start to show their colourful faces that we begin to think about moving more and enjoying the outdoors and sunshine. Perth tends to be a little stormy and windy in early Spring, however, when we have a gorgeous spring-like day everyone is smiling and glowing with the promise of things to come.

It's also that time of year when we might be wearing less layers of clothing and noticing that the warmer weather clothing has either shrunk a tad over winter or (horror!) the waistline has expanded. You'll read below about my next seminar later in the month on Weight Loss that Works. Come along if you need some easy strategies for getting back on track.

Product Review
I really enjoy a soda, bitters and fresh lime juice before dinner. In fact, I call it my "homeopathic alcohol" (or the drink I have when I don't want alcohol). Herbal bitters stimulates and improves your digestion. And, it makes a refreshing drink instead of wine or other alcoholic drinks. My latest fave is the Australian Bitters Company Aromatic Bitters product and it really is excellent. You might like to read more about that product,  how it is hand-crafted and what ingredients it contains. Ask your local bottle shop for this and others in the range. I think I'll try the Barrel Spice bitters next time...

Healthy Hummus
Hummus is an ideal vegetarian addition to meals, sandwiches, appetiser plates and for snacks. This hummus teams really well with avocado and sliced cooked beetroot. You can also serve it with vegetable sticks or gluten-free crackers as a dip.
