Some new events have come up this week and we wanted to give you the must up-to-date info!
Oberlin Community Sunset Vigil Friday, 4:30-5:30pm, Wilder Bowl
A vigil to commemorate those lost this week due to senseless anti-Semitic, racist and xenophobic violence. All are welcome. Even if you have not been directly affected, please come to show your support for your peers. Help to create a space for healing and a more unified Oberlin.
Voting Shabbat feat. Pizza and Sushi
Friday, 5:45-8pm, Kosher-Halal Coop
This is an update letting you know that Shabbat services, led by Lucy and Lila, will begin at 5:45pm. There will be guitar! Dinner will still start at 7pm.
Commemorative Traditional Egalitarian Minyan Saturday, 10am-12:30pm, Wilder 216
Join us in singing and prayer to commemorate the lives lost last weekend at Tree of Life in Pittsburgh. This will be a traditional egalitarian service, which means traditional tunes, mostly Hebrew (we’ll have transliterations), and mixed seating. All are welcome, regardless of background, affiliation, or identity.
If you’re interested in helping lead a part of the service or reading Torah, or just have questions, please contact email@example.com.
Accessibility notes: This is on the second floor of Wilder. There is a button elevator which is accessible from the basement. We have a large print prayer book and transliteration packets.
This eBlast is provided as a service of Oberlin College Hillel in support of thriving pluralistic Jewish life on campus. We welcome all groups and individuals to contribute.
Submissions should be sent to Talia Rodwin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
