To the Friends of the Future Tritt Park!

The Tritt family is giving our community a golden opportunity to help shape the future of East Cobb!

Mrs. Tritt personally wrote a letter about how she would like to see the 54-acre Tritt property on Roswell Road become a park for all of East Cobb to enjoy. (click to view).
The Tritt property is one of the last remaining large undeveloped tracts of land in the heart of East Cobb.  It is more than just saving greenspace, it is the preservation of property that was here when East Cobb was settled some 184 years ago. We can preserve the history and create an exciting and memorable destination.
The vision for the new Tritt Park at Ivy Wood includes many activities & attractions such as nature hiking trails, mountain biking trails, disc golf, botanical gardens, weddings and special events, an East Cobb history center, and an art studio for art shows.

The Tritt Property was recommended as an ideal park for purchase on both the Park Bond 2006 and Park Bond 2008, which has yet to be funded before the earmarked funds were shifted into the Braves stadium.

Please attend the Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 7pm Board of Commissioners meeting to see the Board to finally fund the $40 million Park Bond.  The Commissioners plan to only fund $24.7 million of the $40 million voters approved by referendum.  You can email the Board about the Park Bond funding with this link or contact your Commissioner (770) 528-3000 to encourage them to fully fund the $40 million Park Bond as voters approved.

The meeting is at 100 Cherokee Street, 2nd floor. Wear green if you have it, but the Cobb Parks Coalition will have green flyers to hold at the meeting.
