Etienne Marclay, Vice-President of Human Resources and Operations, presents the key sustainability projects for 2019, which will be a milestone year on the way to achieving the 2020 strategy supported by EPFL management.

Act for Change LAB: the first five projects have been selected!

The selection committee of the Act for Change LAB sustainable initiatives laboratory platform launched last year has issued its verdict: discover the first five innovative and sustainable projects that will be carried out throughout 2019!
Sustainable Campus projects
Act for Change Food: 1200 participants and concrete results!
From 12 to 30 November 2018, more than 1,200 people participated in Act for Change Food and committed to reducing the environmental impact of their food. Review of the main events and assessment of the impact of the challenge.
Trees on the Cosandey Place  
At the end of last year, 25 tall trees grew in Cosandey Place. This is part of the ALICE laboratory's Resilient Campus project, for which Sustainable Campus and LESO have been associated. Inauguration in March and project to follow.

Present on campus since 2005, the Mobility offer is evolving to meet your expectations as closely as possible!

Simon is a student at the Master of Energy Management and Sustainability. He tells us about his background, his dreams and his expectations for a more sustainable campus.
COY14 - In train to Katowice
For the COY 14 (Conference of Youth) in Katowice, Poland, nine students from One TREE for Climate (SIE section) travelled by train under the condition of Sustainable Campus who paid for the trip. In addition to saving CO2, the team comes back with an excellent travel experience.

Shots santé : sports sessions at lunchtime
The Centre de Sport et Santé (CSS) offers you 30 or 45-minute sessions at lunchtime. The themes vary from week to week from sport, relaxation or physio. And all shots santé are free... but places are limited!
Sustainability Week - From 4th to 8th March 2019
After the success of its first edition, the Sustainability Week is back on the campuses of UNIL and EPFL for an edition with a rich program organized by Unipoly and other associations on campus. More than 30 events will present possible actions for more eco-responsible lifestyles and for making the changes needed to cope with climate change. Like their Facebook page or check their programming.
World week - From 8th to 12th April 2019
Once again this year, Ingénieurs du Monde has prepared a program to suit all tastes, representing several SDGs. Conferences, food stands from different nations at lunchtime, a concert and an exhibition on the theme of water (contest open from 25.02 to 24.03). More information will come on their Facebook page or website. We look forward to seeing you there!
The alarm bell rings, the urgency is there! It's time to Act for Change!
After the successes of January 18 and February 2, a new strike is announced for Friday, March 15, in about sixty countries, and also in Switzerland!
