BID Member Newsletter

August 2019
We're continuing to make improvements to the way we communicate with our BID Members, and after a few months of our digital newsletter, we've given it a slight refresh.

To ensure we're giving you the information you want and the opportunity to engage with us effectively, we've broken down the newsletter into the four main objectives of the BID; Better Promoted, Safe and Friendly, Clean and Well Maintained and Business Support.

August for us has already been a great month with the success of the Urban Beach. We had fantastic television coverage as well as local coverage through radio, paper and digital. It really has helped raise the profile of the town centre and I know the businesses who took advantage, not only had a great time, but saw the business value - so a huge thank you to you all!

Our next project is Student Lock Down - keep an eye out for how to get involved in this popular annual event. And we're even starting to get ourselves geared up for Christmas, on 23rd August we'll find out if we've been shortlisted for the Blachere Competition to win £10,000 worth of Christmas Lights and a performance from the Jersey Boys. We've got everything crossed, so watch this space!
On that note, I'll leave you to catch up on all the latest...

Swindon and Wiltshire Pride

Congratulations to Ipsum on Milton Road who won the Swindon and Wiltshire Pride 'Best Pride Window Competition' .

We'd also like to congratulate Bridal Boutique and Sewcraft who were runners up in the competition. You all certainly bought some colour to the town centre.

It's encouraging to see businesses taking part in this initiative and supporting the community.
