G'day Beans! Sorry I haven't written for a while! Here's a summary of my 2018 so far to get you caught up:
  • Went back to Adelaide and Melbourne to visit my family and friends (and do some gigs). This included a brief trip to (and a gig in) Hong Kong.
  • I filmed some stuff for an ITV comedy pilot (keep an eye out for future announcements)
  • Joked that if I raised enough through ko-fi that I would buy one of Elon Musk's flamethrowers. Due to not raising quite enough (and some laws regarding importing weapons, blah blah prison, blah blah), I'm now using the funds to commission an alternative from a local hobbyist and will donate any remaining amount to charity. In the meantime, I will be selling my own pocket-sized "flamethrowers" after my gigs for £5!
  • I got to co-host a stage with the wonderful Matt Highton at COMICCON Brussels and meet THE ONE AND ONLY DEAN CAIN.
  • So many of you showed up to my Leciester Comedy Festival work-in-progress show that we started 30min late because we had to move everything into a bigger room! (Thank you for a wonderfully fun night!)
  • I visited the National Space Centre with the brilliant comic, Bisha K Ali (did you know Leicester has a Space Centre?! Photos here)
  • I performed at the inaugural Kilkenny Animated Festival.
  • I gave a lecture about the Space Kingdom of Asgardia at An Evening Of Unnecessary Detail (honestly, it's... just look it up).
  • I've been writing a sitcom pilot and also working on a few Cbeebies/CBBC shows, so hopefully more to come on those in the future!
  • I've got some BIG plans for my next show, so sadly, it will not be debuting at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe. However, I WILL be doing a new live show somewhere in August and I will pop up to Edinburgh Fringe to do some spots. More to be revealed in my next newsletter!
And now, moving on to what's coming up!...

Bec provides the jokes. YOU provide the order!

A silly hour full of stand-up, pop-ups and post-its – with a twist – from the award-winning Australian comedian.

★★★★ The Scotsman
"Hill is a multi-coloured ray of eternal sunshine. In a world of pain and darkness, her total lack of cynicism is refreshing."

★★★★ Broadway Baby
"Silly, fun and a seemingly bottomless well of enjoyment, Bec Hill on stage is someone we all should aspire to be."
