As you all know, Giving Day is just around the corner. On March 12th, Cornell Fencing will try to set a program record for the most donors. I have led Giving Day efforts for many years and with many programs, but this year’s Cornell Fencing Giving Day is very special to me. This fall, I watched a team make a tough transition with grace, grit, compassion and extraordinary resilience. I also experienced unbelievable support from the parents, alumni and CFA board. You made it possible for the athletes to get much needed parkas, travel to World Cups and additional meets, experience world class leadership training and work with an amazing epee coach for a weekend clinic.
In recognition of your support and the work of the team, I am giving a $5000 gift that will be unlocked as soon as we hit our 194th donor on March 12th. It is my goal to fund new fencing bags for the team this Giving Day. It is a much needed replacement as many of the bags have significant wear and tear. They also need to be updated to the current Cornell logo. I want to make sure everyone notices when Cornell Fencing enters the room!!! Please visit our Giving Day page on March 12th to support this wonderful team. And scroll down to the bottom to see our awesome Giving Day video!
Thank you again for all your help. We couldn’t do it without you.
