Dear Alumni, Family, and Friends of Cornell Fencing,
We recently received the good news that the team will be able to practice as one group during the last few weeks of training. It has been amazing to once again see our men and women together in the salle playing games, doing footwork and fencing. The energy is amazing and I am truly excited for next season. Over the next few weeks we will release next year's fencing schedule, so keep your eye out!! We would love to see some of you at our events next season.
Over the next 10 days, many of you will receive emails or calls from our student athletes. This is a chance for you to get to know the athletes on the team and hear about their experiences. This will also take the place of the phonathon which was not held in the fall. Our annual fundraising target was raised from 55K in 2019-20 to 125k in 2020-21. We are currently at 90K and hope to count on your support to make up the difference. Each of your donations will go directly to support our student athletes’ equipment, travel, uniforms, and NAC events. Most important your support helps enable the environment for the incredible camaraderie I saw in the salle this week.
As always, feel free to call or write just to say hello!!
