A Word from Pastor Craig

There have been so many discouragements over the last year, fires, floods, hurricanes, pandemics, economic fears; we need a little hope!

Over the weekend, I was contacted by our Treasurer, who had been contacted by one of our Church family.
This person is offering a challenge grant.

They have pledged $25,000 to VPC for repayment of the balloon Mortgage payment on the Solar System, if others in Valley Presbyterian Church will pledge to this as well.

For the last two years, this Solar Carport has generated 85% of the Church’s needs for electric power.

Throughout the last two months, this Solar Carport has provided a place for Tuesday and Thursday morning Exercise.

Over the last few weeks, this Solar Carport has provided an outdoor place for us to gather as “Church” sharing Coffee and Fellowship.

Every $500 pledged for this Capital Improvement will be matched, so your gift of $500 becomes $1,000 and in total this will raise half of the cost of this system; the balloon payment for which will not yet be due for another three years; and this Improvement both substantially reduces our utility costs as well as benefiting our environment.

Please contact Treasurer Don Brooks, with your Solar Pledge, as this is a cost for the Church outside of our Annual Budget.

Everything has proceeded very smoothly and carefully so far, with wonderful support from you, meaning that Sunday, October 11we hope to have our Sanctuary open for us to congregate to Worship God.

Pastor Craig Lindsey

We are all in this together
Verse: Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.

The Flu Clinic will be here at VPC on Tuesday, October 6th from 2 – 4 pm. Please sign up by calling the church office or emailing

The Women's Ministry will be having a Gathering on Tuesday, September 29th at 11:30 p.m.4. Please bring your own brown bag lunch and drink.

Social distancing will be practiced and masks are required except while eating.
