A Word from Rev. Craig Lindsey
FUN IN WORSHIP
Ten days ago, I had a lot of fun surprising everyone during the worship service with Pink Pajamas! But in my rush to get to the airport, and not being here to respond throughout the next week, I hope Christ’s message was not lost in the sermon’s metaphor.
Several have laughed expecting articles in the Tucson and Green Valley Papers about “Pastor Arrested for Revealing (His Faith)."
I am told the Lutherans were discussing Valley Presbyterian Church on the Golf Course… But Jesus’ point in the Sermon on the Mount is that whenever there is a request out of need, respond without restraint!
The PNC had asked me if we could be loved, if I could love you? I believe behind this is the fear stated in the Bible of whether God still loves us? My crass response is my readiness to give you the shirt off of my back, the trousers off my legs, my robe and cross; because my commitment is to love you, and I believe God’s also is to love us with nothing held back.
Thank you for loving us, Pink Pajamas and all.
In the future I pledge to keep my clothes on during worship, but to try to surprise you with
affirmations of faith.
See you in Worship.
