Under My Christmas Tree

by Marti Long

There are many boxes wrapped so prettily with bright paper and ribbons sitting under my tree. And guess what? I already know what is in each one. That one in the back is filled with hope. Hope for a future with no virus and vaccine enough to give all who need it. And the small one over there is filled with tears. Yes, I do have a few of them once in awhile. The long box is filled with friendship. People here and people far away. Another box is full of memories. Photos, treasures, remembrances of times recent and times past. That round box is filled with faith. Faith that we can feed the world and save Your creation. The box with the shiny paper is filled with family. Family that is so caring and so helpful and so supportive. And that big crate over there that is much too big to fit under the tree is filled with love. So much love that it is spilling out of the box, around the whole world, and reaching up into heaven! So you can see that my gift list has already been filled with joy! Joy to the World! Christ Jesus comes again!
