Well, last week the Trivia Questions were a bit more challenging.  However, we did have a good response.  Some people asked if searching Google for the answers is appropriate?  Would it be cheating?

The Fellowship Committee encourages everyone to participate and have fun.  Searching Google is a great way to research answers and brush up on history, also.

So, go ahead and search Google for the answers and have fun playing VPC Trivia.

The toughest question was: “What was the name of the American women who disguised herself as a man and fought in the American Revolutionary War?   Answer – Deborah Sampson – enlisted in army under name of Robert Shurtliff.”

Congratulations goes to Dave Tompkins, last week’s winner chosen at random from all the correct responses.  He will receive a gift card from Safeway.

This week’s Trivia Contest has only three questions but includes two challenging bonus questions:

1.  Who was commander-in-chief for the American forces during the American Revolutionary War?

a. John Sullivan
b. Henry Knox

d. Alexander Hamilton

2.  Which city was the first to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th?

 3.    In what year did Independence Day become a legal federal holiday

Joke: I was visiting with my daughter last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper from her. “This is the 21st century “ she said. “We do not waste money on newspapers anymore. Here use my Ipad.” I can tell you this, that fly never knew what hit him.

Azdhs.gov is a website that shows you the recent data for COVID-19. The percentage of cases that are positive in Pima County is 7.5%. The number of new cases are also on this dashboard. Please maintain a 6 foot social distance around you and wear a mask if you need to go out. Use a hand sanitizer of 70% alcohol if you are not able to wash your hands. Please note that there are at least 9 hand sanitizers that have been recalled. You may look these up via internet on the FDA website. Staying home at this time is still preferred.

 Thanks much,
