Brainstorming for Fall 2017 Workshop

Even though we have closed the books on our Fall 2016 workshop, it's never to early to start thinking ahead! We would like to apply for an MTNA matching grant in January, but this application is due just days after our January meeting.  Receiving this grant will allow us to potentially bring in a large name in the field.  If you have any ideas of who you might want to invite, please send them to Melissa ( or Tim (
Planning ahead:
January 2017 Teachers' Recital

It's never too early to start thinking about our Teachers' Recital, which will take place on Sunday, January 22 (3:00 pm) at the First Christian Church in Jefferson City.  This recital will be followed by our January MMAMTA meeting.  Please consider performing either as a soloist or in collaboration with a colleague. It's a wonderful opportunity for our students to see us perform.

Please keep your selections to under 7 minutes in order to provide an opportunity for all who wish to perform.  There is no need to commit right now, but please be thinking about this (as January will be here before we know it!) The new coordinator for this is Carline Waugh (

Do you have an event or an announcement you would like to share with the group?
Email me a week before the end of the month and I will include it in the next newsletter!
All the best,
