SDSU Internship Central Newsletter

June 2020

As we've now entered the summer term, I hope you were able to take a quick pause and celebrate your successes from the most memorable semester in SDSU history!  From swiftly transitioning to telework to quickly pivoting to virtual instruction and remote student services, let's take a moment to applaud ourselves for our commitment, agility and grace!

(**insert clapping here**)
Included in this month's newsletter are online resources and Career Services events to assist you in your internship work with students.  I would like to highlight a new resource we are excited to promote - Parker Dewey Micro-Internships, which are short-term professional assignments perfect for college students and recent graduates! Please share this valuable resource with your students towards their career readiness and professional development.

I wish you a wonderful kickoff to the summer and another fulfilling season ahead!

If you are not the correct internship contact and/or there is another contact in your area, please send me their name and email so I can update our records.  Thank you!

We are now working with Parker Dewey to offer

What is a Micro-Internship?

Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments with companies and organizations ranging from technology to education and go across departments including human resources, community relations, finance and market research.
These projects enable college students, recent graduates and alumni to demonstrate skills, knowledge, explore career paths and build their network.

These paid opportunities take place year-round, typically range from 5-40 hours of work with project assignments due in one week or within a month.

Please promote Micro-Internships to students!
