Welcome to McLarenology October 2016

The Spring season has been an extremely busy one at McLaren. Projects of all sizes continue across the Asia Pacific with implementations in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong just to name a few. Exciting projects currently underway include the 6 Star Crown Towers in Perth which is set for a spectacular opening before the end of the year. I recently had a site visit and was blown away! The property will set a new standard of luxury in the Australia market.

We also continue our expansion into the Health Sector working with St John of God Healthcare on their WiFi offering for patients and guests. They have recently added another site bringing the total to 16 SJOG hospitals across Australia now reaping the benefits of McLaren’s fluide WiFi management software.  Additionally, we are working with a Brisbane based aged care and retirement village operator to streamline their HSIA services, also with our fluide product.
 
We continue to assist Amadeus Hospitality in the transition of HotSOS sales and support to Amadeus Hospitality across Asia. We are working hand in hand with Amadeus to ensure the transition is a smooth one for all our customer partners. Please reach out to your McLaren Account Manager with any queries or if you need any assistance as the process continues.

As we move rapidly towards Christmas (where did 2016 go?) we have a major new partnership to be announced before the end of  the year and a product in development which we look forward to sharing with you in Q2 of 2017.

Perth hotel COMO the Treasury world's second best

Best Hotels in the world named by Conde Nast Traveler

McLaren customer, COMO the Treasury in Perth, has been voted the second best hotel in the world by Conde Nast. No other Australian hotels made Conde Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards top 50 list.

The hotel is part of a $580 million dollar redevelopment of the Cathedral Avenue precinct and occupies the top three floors of three historic buildings.

Meet Techi the new Housekeeping Wizard

Techi Robot joins the team at Park Ave Rochester Hotel, Singapore

McLaren customer, The Park Ave Rochester Hotel Singapore, has introduced to staff two new colleagues earlier this year. Both are made of metal and plastic and both are named Techi.  Techi the robot can deliver room service on its own and uses driverless technology all controlled by a tablet.

With a third Techi on the way, the robots are helping the hotel to alleviate the current room attendant shortage.

Hotel Management Awards 2016

Sydney Town Hall, 2 September 2016

 

The winners of the 2016 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence were named last month at Sydney Town Hall.

Pullman Airport deploys cloud-based communications system

New model gives hotels option to deliver communications and services on per occupied room per night

ALE, operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand, with McLaren Technologies announced the five star Pullman Sydney Airport has become the latest hotel associated with the AccorHotel Group to deploy a combined cloud-based collaboration solution developed by the two companies.

The solution is an integration between Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise cloud solution and Jazz, McLaren Technologies’ cloud-based management service for voice.

HFTP deems Sydney Summit a success

Sydney, 17 August 2016

McLaren's CEO, Matthew White, attended the second Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) Sydney Summit along with over 40 participants at Deloitte Sydney Grosvenor Place in August.

HFTP hosted these educational sessions and networking opportunities designed for hospitality financial staff as well as hospitality technology departments.
