TIFFIN ELKS

A Fraternal Organization

B.P.O.E LODGE 94

TIFFIN, OHIO
(419) 447-2818

Established September 12, 1888

GREETINGS FROM YOUR EXALTED RULER

Fall is in the air, welcome September!  Grand Lodge has provided a grant to all Lodges to assist with the burdens of the COVID pandemic.  We have graciously accepted the check and will put it to good use within the Lodge.

Grand Lodge has also changed some of the requirements for applying for grants during the pandemic.  We will be looking into any and all that we may be able to use to assist the Tiffin community.

The golf tournament was hugely successful this year, Thanks to all who participated and volunteered!  We decided at the August Lodge meeting to donate $500 to the Elks National Fund from the golf tournament proceeds.  The ENF fund allows us to apply for national grants to help the local community once we achieve our per capita.

September 9th will bring the return of an induction dinner as part of the new member initiation process.  We will be initiating 3 new members in the month of September.  If you are available, come enjoy dinner and meet the new members.  Lasagna will be on the menu.

As of the end of August, we are still missing 55 members who are delinquent on dues.  There is a list posted at the club for reference.  Check it out and see if you recognize a name.  Membership keeps the doors open!

Forever in Elkdom,
Chuck Jones, Exalted Ruler

Regatta Update:
We have completed our weekly Summer Food for Kids Program for 2020. We are proud to announce that we purchased, bagged, and delivered over 2,800 bags of groceries to underprivileged kids in our community. A special thank you goes out to the Calvert students that helped bag food each week, and their parents for bringing the kids down.

It is unfortunate the Regatta has been postponed to late Spring 2021 due to the current Covid situation. If you have built a boat, hang on to them and stay tuned. In the meantime check out the Money Tree raffle and the Barrow full of Booze raffle.

The Tiffin Elks Foundation may be done with the summer food program but we will continue to help the needs of our community’s underprivileged kids throughout the year. If you wish to contribute to the Foundation you may do so on line by visiting the Tiffin Elks Regatta Facebook page.

Membership:
We still have some members that have not paid their dues for 2020. If you fall into this category, please get your dues in.

Bring a guest to a meal, event or just for a beverage. New members are always welcome so if you know of someone interested or new to the community invite them to check out the Elks.

Stay safe and we’ll see you at the club.

Your Trustees
Anne Clouse, Tyler Shuff, Chris Corgan, Nate Lofay, Bill Nordholt
