Welcome to Active Learning Space!

This is our first eNewsletter and we hope to send them out regularly to let you know what's new.

Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and Perkins School for the Blind are collaborating to create online resources based on the work of Dr. Lilli Nielsen.   We have created a website, which we invite you to explore! We are adding content regularly and we will try to use this newsletter to let you know when there's something new to check out.  In addition, we will have a series of webinars and other trainings in the coming year, so stay tuned to learn more.

You have been invited to subscribe to this newsletter because of your participation in a past training or other interest you have expressed.  Please feel free to share this with others and invite families, colleagues, and others to sign up too!

Register now for 5-part Active Learning webinar series!

In this series of Active Learning webinars we will share ideas for moving from assessment to IEP development to delivering instruction. Attention will be given to organizing the student’s day and delivering both general curriculum and expanded core curriculum content using an Active Learning approach.
Science lesson video
In this video you will see an Active Learning approach to teaching a science lesson about plants and their growth cycle.
Position board
We have been busy adding directions on materials you can make.
Have a look at what's here so far!
