It's already April! Summer is right around the corner, and that means it's getting busy here at MEF. Our Brain Forest Summer Learning Programs will be here before you know it! Be sure to check out What We're Watching this month. There will be a great community conversation regarding education and our kids coming up this week.

Brain Forest Summer Learning Academy Student Applications Are Out!

MEF in Action

On March 22, the MEF Team joined the Department of Early Childhood Education along with advocates from all over the state to rally for state-wide access to high quality Pre-K for our kids.  Let your representative know that you support #PreKforAL too!  
What We're Watching in April: Most Likely to Succeed
Are you interested in innovative ways to educate students to be prepared for college and their careers? Check out this trailer for the documentary, Most Likely to Succeed, before joining Auburn Montgomery, Montgomery Public Schools, Pike Road Schools, and St. James United Methodist Church for a viewing of the full movie and a community conversation about 21st Century Learning. Event will be free of charge to the public on April 5th at 5pm at St. James United Methodist Church.  Hope to see you there!

April Spotlight: MPS Teacher, Jenny Gilbert

A special thank you to former Brain Forest Summer Learning Academy Classroom Assistant, Jenny Gilbert, for being our spotlight this month! Jenny taught Montgomery students with us in our summer program last summer before joining the MPS team as a 5th grade teacher at Garrett Elementary.
