       The URW President's Letter

September 2, 2016

Dear members, associate members and friends,

As I am writing this letter, there are 60 days until we vote for the next president of our great nation.

Sixty short days.

Sixty days for each of us to be a Republican representative, defend our conservative values, and shine a bright light on the positive change needed in our government.

Sixty days for us to defeat the Democrats and their liberal ideology, restore conservative values, and begin to change the course of our country.

Sixty days until we elect the best Republican leaders who will work tirelessly for the next 730 to 1,460 days, ensuring that our cities, counties, state and nation remain a beacon of hope in an ever-changing world.

The time of indecision and “ruffled feathers” is past.

Today, make time to put those signs supporting the Republican candidates in your front yard and around your neighborhood; talk with your undecided friends and relatives; volunteer to work at the Republican headquarters and at the polls; and prepare to vote absentee ballot if necessary.

Remember, the United States of America is a country “of the people, by the people, and for the people." Each of us has a voice. Each of us has a vote. At this exciting time in our country, it is our right and responsibility to make our voices heard and to make our votes count. Remember, "those who obey the laws should help to choose those who make the laws."

Your president,

Donna Gottschall

Volunteers Needed in North Carolina for
Mighty American Strike Force

The Mighty American Strike Force (MASF) is a grass roots campaign organization that works in tandem with the Republican National Committee, National Senatorial Committee, and the National Republican Congressional Committee. MASF is seeking to recruit, train and deploy thousands of volunteers from across the nation to targeted battleground states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin) in an effort to help the Republican Party retain control of the U.S. House and Senate and TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE.

The South Carolina Federation of Republican Women (SCFRW), in conjunction with the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), is committed to sending MASF volunteers to North Carolina the weekend of October 21-23, 2016.  These volunteers will be deployed in Cary, Charlotte, Huntersville and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Won't you help us in this important effort?

For more information, or to sign up as a MASF volunteer, contact SCFRW Campaign Chair Kathy Behlert by email: kbeh@windstream.com

A Message from SCFRW President, Bev Brady

Ladies:

Just a reminder to you and all your clubs' members, but especially to you as leaders, that disparaging remarks or publications involving Republican candidates for office is not only prohibited in the SCFRW by-laws, but also the NFRW by-laws, and I'm betting in your clubs' by-laws as well. We will need ALL the Republican votes we can get in November, and the time is now to wear a positive attitude and show the opposition that we will not be defeated this election cycle!

As leaders of the Republican party, you need to hold yourselves to a higher standard than your membership.  Remember, you are the role model and example in a very contested nominee selection process.
Thank you for always being an upstanding "Republican back-bone."

Gratefully,

Bev Brady
