Nominations invited for UCOWR awards. The Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR) presents PhD Dissertations Awards and Education and Public Service Awards. Nominations are due January 13 to the University of Minnesota delegates, who will select one nominee for each category to submit from the U of M. Dissertation nominations must come from the faculty advisor, for PhD dissertations completed in calendar 2015 or 2016. Education and Public Service nominations may be for groups or individuals, within or outside the University. Recipients receive travel expenses to attend the UCOWR conference June 13-15, 2017. For more information and to submit a nomination for the  PhD Dissertation Award and the Education and Public Service Award.

Centers for Oceans and Human Health 3: Impacts of Climate Change on Oceans and Great Lakes. Agency: NIH and NSF. Due Date: Optional LOI due February 7, 2017 Full proposals due March 7, 2017.
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to invite applications for multi-component projects that will investigate the impact of climate change on emerging public health threats associated with marine and Great Lakes Basin environments. The focus of the program will be to support research on the exposures, toxicities and human health impacts that arise in these environments and how climate change is influencing these factors now and in the future. The FOA solicits applications that will achieve program goals through integrated, multidisciplinary scientific approaches and a community engagement component.

The Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) has issued its 2018 Request for Proposal (RFP) for funding from Minnesota’s Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund beginning July 1, 2018.

Minnesota Sea Grant RFP
The University of Minnesota Sea Grant College Program is pleased to announce our regular proposal solicitation for research to be conducted between 2018 and 2020. We typically fund projects for two years that average $50,000 in direct costs per year and include a graduate student research assistant at no cost to the project. 
The deadline for pre-proposals is January 27, 2017.
