3 - Greenville Literacy News

Our club used to be very active with GLA. Since the pandemic is diminished, students are returning to Literacy programs and the need for tutors is increasing. GLA offers GED and ESL training and workforce development.
Our club awards GLA an annual grant for equipment and supplies and gets matching funds from District 7750.
GLA needs tutors particularly in math and ESL skills. Tutoring is done in person and on line, individually and in groups. This GLA webpage https://www.greenvilleliteracy.org/tutors/become-a-tutor/ describes the choices, time commitments for each type, training and resources available.
If you are interested and want to see the facilities or observe a class, you may call Lisa Hall, the Acting Director, to meet with her. Her number is 864-467-3556; email is hall@greenvilleliteracy.
