October 2016 Edition
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and so this edition of Your Financial Intelligence is dedicated to raising awareness to the need for early detection and frequent examinations. Early detection and treatment puts you on a great path for recovery and good health.
I recently assisted a client with life insurance after her recovery from breast cancer. She had been told that she was not able to purchase coverage, and that she had to wait three years before she would be considered. With better knowledge of company standards and the availability of broader markets, I was able to find many highly rated companies willing to offer her coverage today.
The recent health episode made the purchase of protection a priority, and it was important that I could show her that even with that health history she was still in a position to secure the coverage she needed for her family. If you're not sure whether you could qualify for insurance, let's have a quick dialogue to see if you would be eligible now, and if there is a waiting period, that we manage that time period effectively.
No different than treating breast cancer, the key is to start early... and have a plan.
Wishing you all the best of health!
