What Do you Think?
Every month I'll be posing a question. I'd love to hear your answers so reply to this email and tell me what you think. Also, please send in questions you'd like me to answer or pose to others.
This month's question: They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but do you? What draws you in more, the art on the front or the blurb on the back? Is the cover enough to entice you to buy the book or do you read a sample, look at reviews, or only buy on the recommendation of others?
A New Reality
The past month has been one in which many of us have faced the challenge of living in a different kind of world than the one we've known for a while. At the same time it was that season when bleak weather provided some folks the perfect opportunity to catch up on the stack of books piled by the bedside or clogging up kindles.
For me it was a strange, exciting, frustrating and busy month. I'm so grateful to those who bought my books, wrote reviews, attended events (like the local launch, above) hosted me online or in person, or who simply recommended my book to someone you know. You make all the difference.

So far all my reviews on Amazon have been 5 star reviews. While I love getting such positive feedback, some readers are skeptical if there are no 3 or 4 star reviews. You don't have to agonize over wording -- one line reviews are fine, and it's okay to repeat what someone else has said. Just avoid spoilers (it's easy to give away the plot by mentioning certain characters!) Email me if you aren't sure how to post a review.

A "who dun it" of the highest caliber

I was unable to put this book down! The character development was creatively written. There are twists and turns that had me fearful, smiling, crying and scratching my head. Solomon's tender depictions of loss and grief touched my heart. This is a "who dun it" of the highest caliber. I kept guessing, then changing my mind as the suspense escalated. The final chapter left me surprised and satisfied. This book teaches important life lessons about self-determination, love, loss and trusting one's intuition. Highly recommended.
