Family Services News

DFAN is continuing to provide support to families via email, text and phone throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. Even though all scheduled workshops have been cancelled, you can still contact Si Stainton  by email, phone or text. Wishing you health, safety and happiness.

DCLS and DFAN:  ****Help a parent!****  Do you need some information? Need to connect with another parent? Find a support worker? Apartment sharing for your adult child? This is for families and relatives living in Delta and Surrey. Email sstainton@dcls.ca to find out more and how to post something.

Government of BC: has launched a COVID-19 support app to help provide residents with the latest information on the ongoing pandemic. You can download at the apple store or google play and is also available as a regular website here.

Delta Community Living Society: Stay tuned! We will announce workshop dates once it is safe for us host workshops again.

Every night at 7pm people are clapping and making noise to show appreciation for our health care workers for the amazing jobs they are doing. Make some noise tonight!

FOTA (Focus on the Abilities):  Registration is now open for the summer program. Camps are $375/week with an additional option for pick up/drop off. Interested? Contact Jenn for more information and how to register. 

Easter Seals: Camp Registration opens March 1! Some camps are now open to adults up to 49 years old. Camps at Winfield and at Shawnigan. Registration opens up March 1st. More information here.

DFAN had a full roster of workshops planned for the spring, and these have been post-poned until it is safe to resume group classes.  Following are a few links to on-line workshops and resource videos available through our partners.
