Welcome to MAB4
(Macroalgae Biorefinery for Value-added Products)

Welcome to the MAB4 project and the first newsletter. MAB4 is a four-year project with the vision of turning seaweed and products hereof into value-added commodities of food and feed ingredients and products for skin-care. For a Danish summary of the project, please use this link: https://mab4.org/om-mab-4-pa-dansk/

Our newsletter will provide information on activites related to the project, results, publications and other interesting information on macroalgae.

In this first newsletter we present our new website www.mab4.org, Nordic Seaweed Conference, a networking event and the first months with a new macroalgae project.

A cornerstone of the dissemination in the MAB4 project has just been launched - the website www.mab4.org. The website is still under construction. However, you already find key information on the project and you can for instance download publications from the completed MAB3 project.

The mission of the website is to be a provider of knowledge for the public on seaweed and to disseminate information on what MAB4 is about, results and publications.
Join the Nordic Seaweed Conference 12-13 October 2016. The conference gathers top speakers who will share their know-how within seaweed for feed, food, offshore cultivation, biorefinery of seaweed and much more.

This year we spice the conference with a field trip to the successful producer of food products with seaweed – Nordisk Tang.
