The adage, "It takes a village to raise a child" has practical as well as philosophical implications. What does parenting look like and feel like in a cohousing community, for people of all ages?

Parents from two families at Monterey Cohousing will speak from the heart about their own and their children's experiences; bring your questions! Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018 at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. $8 to register and get further details.

St Paul core group news--now "SAGE Living"

Having met now for about a year, the recently renamed Saint Paul core group--now SAGE Living--started a deeper dive recently with a series of workshops specifically aimed at people considering senior cohousing. The SAGE in "SAGE Living" stands for "Successfully Aging as a Group Endeavor."

Making progress on and finding compatriots to help navigate one's journey of cohousing exploration can be difficult. These workshops are providing an opportunity for those considering how the process of getting older--at ant age--interrelate with housing characteristics and choice.The instructor for the series is cohousing educator Lynn Englund from the Hopework consulting group.

To get on an "interested" list for the next time this series runs (possibly in February), or to inquire about running it in your association or church/religious-institution group, you may fill out this interest form.

Intro to Cohousing - community ed class

An Introduction to Cohousing, a one-session class, will be offered through Fridley Community Education from 6:30-8:30 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018.

If you are just beginning to explore cohousing, you may wish to sign up to get an overview and have some of your basic questions answered.
