Our hope might call us to look ahead and celebrate in the promise of a new chapter of post-pandemic life, but throughout America, communities of color continue to face very real threats.

"Mobilizing equitable climate action by health care institutions, health practitioners and community advocates in ways that reflect the needs and priorities of low-income communities in America's cities." - The Kresge Institute

PSE is a recipient of a grant from The Kresge Institute's Climate Change, Health & Equity (CCHE) program. The Partnership for Southern Equity will promote racial equity with an overarching goal to develop and advance systemic processes that create opportunities for energy equity, health equity and economic inclusion.

"Justice40 is a whole-of-government effort to ensure that Federal agencies work with states and local communities to make good on President Biden’s promise to deliver at least 40 percent of the overall benefits from Federal investments in climate and clean energy to disadvantaged communities." - whitehouse.gov

Anchored in love, service, and a sincere commitment to frontline communities – the #Justice40 Accelerator, a proud partnership between PSE, The Solutions Project, Groundswell, The Hummingbird Firm, and Elevate, seeks to leverage this moment to radically reimagine the existing government resource delivery system as a restorative and reparative framework that better supports Black and historically disinvested communities of color.

Against all odds, frontline communities have created some of the most effective climate solutions out there. The Justice40 Accelerator is working to ensure frontline organizations have the necessary tools, training, and resources in place to be prepared to apply for federal funding through the Justice40 Initiative.
