Greetings! I’m reaching out to thank you for your past support of the Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE). Over the past 10 years, because of you, we’ve been able to work to promote racial equity and shared prosperity throughout Atlanta and the Southeast region.
Because of your gifts, we have been able to:
Your support of PSE made this happen. And this good work would not be possible without your help. But we can’t stop now.
- Provide access to more than $400,000 for people suffering income loss, illness, and reduction of services due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Train more than 50 young people under the age of 25 years old to activate as organizers, ambassadors, and community leaders in their communities
- Host our first Just Opportunity Summit focused on economic inclusion with 32 speakers and 361 attendees from six cities in the Southeast
- Build a coalition to fight a proposed Georgia Power rate hike of 7% that would mean a bill increase of about $9.78 per month
Today, as I write this note, more than 210,000 people in this country have died from the coronavirus – an epidemic that has devastated communities of color. Black and Brown people are dying at alarming rates due to over-aggressive policing. And inequities in policies regarding healthcare, housing, and even energy have led to staggering poverty, incarceration rates, and disparities in employment and education.
Your immediate action will help bring about the systemic change that is needed.
Please recommit to equity and justice today by becoming an Equity Sustainer. You can make a difference all year long when you make a monthly gift to PSE. For just $20 a month, you can provide training to help community members advocate directly for changes that benefit them right now.
It’s easy! Just click here to make a secure gift to PSE today!
Thanks for all you do to make sure everybody in our community can reach their full potential. You are making a real difference and I am ever so grateful. Together we will prosper.
Onward towards equity,
Nathaniel Q. Smith, Jr.
Founder and Chief Equity Officer
P.S. – All Equity Sustainers are invited to attend a virtual private briefing with me to learn more about what you can do right now to end discrimination and improve the quality of life for people and communities of color. Please contact Rhonda Thompson, firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information. I look forward to seeing you there!
