Why is living in rural India so HARD on families

...and how is CCDC helping?

Dear Partner,

As a friend of Covenant Child Development Centers, you know that life in India can be hard on families and villages that are impoverished. These villages not only lack educational opportunities that would help the children to learn their way out of poverty, but these villages lack the vision to see the future as something to be embraced.

The children of CCDC have families that are trying to overcome the despair that blankets these communities.  They see a path out of poverty and want to pursue it.

This is where CCDC steps in.

Help from the local village church through CCDC makes all the difference between continuing the trend of families giving up on schooling at all too young of an age or providing encouragement and assistance to learn their way out of poverty.
Wouldn't it be great to partner with these families who see a path out of poverty for their children and simply need help to get there?  CCDC's participating churches are the foundation for village renewal and family redemption, putting action to the words that are proclaimed on Sundays. Help from partners like you outside of India, gives the village churches through CCDC the support and resources to lift the blanket of despair! It's great to know that you actually CAN make a difference in someone's life!

Join CCDC in helping equip families and villages for long-term transformation.

We are so grateful for your partnership and commitment to building up and transforming lives and communities in India.
In hope,

This Child is Amazing -

and needs you to become even more amazing!!!!
Amrutha is in 3rd grade. Her father lost his income due to a bad loan and she had to quit school. CCDC heard about Amrutha and now she has a more secure future.
Amrutha is a great student and has the sweetest smile around!

Can you help her realize her full potential?

The Strength of Bharathi

Charan Teja and his sister Priyanka come from the Yanadula community which is considered as low social class or untouchable in India.  Like too many others in rural India, their father is addicted to alcohol. Their mom, Bharathi, works in a sea food factory for 150 Rupees (~2.25 USD/day). With this she tries to support her family, but it’s never enough. She is torn; family burdens on one side and a drunken husband on the other.  Keep Reading

CCDC has been serving children in villages throughout Andhra Pradesh since 2012.  Poverty doesn't have to be permanent.

CCDC is a ministry of India Christian Ministries.  ICM is about making and mobilizing disciples of Christ to transform lives in India through the Church, Child Discipleship and Community Development.
