“If you are unable to find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?” ― Dogen

Hi, <<First Name>>. We're still here - glad you are too. This past month, we got together every Wednesday online. Little different experience than usual for our community, meeting so regularly. Was nice having more continuity, keeping up with the practice, showing up each week. Nevertheless, one may sit anywhere, anytime - the breath is a constant companion.

As the saying goes at the top of every newsletter: "If you are unable to find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?" But if you're anything like me, the truth is, I don't always like the truth - so then, may that be my truth. Can I get to know it? Can I make friends with life - as it is - rather than as I wish it would be? While not giving up on a brighter future, I can breathe a new relationship into life with each breath, followed by actions, all starting here. Welcome home. You belong here.

Online Meditation will be hosted by SEBC the 1st & 2nd Wednesdays of each month – until further notice – to maintain physical distancing while still supporting & encouraging social & spiritual contact. More online events for additional Weds may be announced, with the latest schedule & info to be posted on our website calendar & Facebook. The Zoom meeting link can be found below and will be the same for all May sessions.

We at SEBC are sending metta to you and your loved ones during this turbulent time. If we can help, please reach out to us anytime. For now, we look forward to seeing you online! Stay safe and be well.

Much metta,
Your friends at SEBC

Monthly Article: Everything is Given and Received

"In the end, it’s not so important who gives and who receives. What matters is cultivating the openhandedness that takes us beyond clinging to our separation and into an awareness that all is given and received."
