As we gather together to pray, to learn, to sing, to worship, and to enjoy the gifts of our shared community of the Northeast, our prayer is that we will feel a deeper connection to our call to experience unity in diversity.

Jeniffer, member of the planning team, captures the thoughtfulness placed into the creation of Come to the Table...

The commitment to being mindful about the groups, cultures and personal stories we have among the Synod helps us create bridges that each one of us can navigate. Because the world changes, so does the church. This event has been designed to be an eye opener and response in action for the new ministries we have been called to serve.

—Jeniffer Rodríguez, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church in Ossining
Cláudio, keynote speaker for 2017, reflects on the lifelong bonds created at Come to the Table...

Being at the Come to the Table 2017 was a gift for me and my family. The experience of learning, worshiping, breaking bread together was precious. My children still talk about it and the friendships that started there continue to this day.

—Cláudio Carvalhaes, Associate Professor of Worship, Union Theological Seminary
Samson, who has attended each Come to the Table gathering, let’s you know what might take place…

I appreciate the opportunities to network, to exchange wisdom, and to learn among fellow Presbyterians in our region. Together we foster relationships, build bridges, and dismantle walls of division among us, so we can be the church that God has called us to be.

—Samson Tso, Pastor, Homecrest Presbyterian Church
Our prayer and hope is that while we listen to what God is doing in your lives, in our communities, and in the world around us, we may be drawn together in the Spirit, inspired by one another’s passions and moved to deepen our shared witness to the God who is, and was and shall be.
