“The Word became flesh and lived among us,
and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son,
full of grace and truth.”
~ John 1:14

As we pause to remember and reflect on the great mystery of the Incarnation – of God becoming human and joining us in the very midst of our lived experience and reality – we give thanks for you and the ways you have continued to embody the message and love of Christ in our communities.
In our community together, Christ has again “become flesh” as we open our hearts to one another, as we use our hands and feet and voices to serve the purposes of God, as we gather to learn and worship and pray.
The love and commitment of our members is beautiful to behold, and as we have shared in your dreams, struggles, celebrations, and sorrows, we have indeed seen the glory of God hidden in plain sight amid the human experience. We are grateful for the many ways we have witnessed the profound combination of both grace and truth, held together as only communities bound by and committed to love can do.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve alongside you in this beautiful and messy and ultimately life-giving work of ministry!
Merry Christmas,
~ The Synod Mission Team
