DEMYSTIFYING HOME-BASED SUPPORT - THE CC HBS HANDBOOK

The Home Based Support (HBS) program has seen several ongoing changes within the last couple of years. While it has been frustrating as a service provider, we can only imagine how confusing it might be for people receiving HBS and the people who support them. That’s why we have created a Handbook for HBS Recipients & Employers. It can be accessed anytime using the following link:

CC's HBS HANDBOOK

Any questions about the Handbook or Home Based Support can be directed to Amy at:

LEAP UPDATE

On February 28th, we were very excited to add another group of Champaign County employers to the list of LEAP Certified Employers. Representatives from the County Recorder, County Executive, Planning and Zoning, County Clerk, and Champaign County Developmental Disabilities board came together to learn more about being disability inclusive employers, and had some great discussions about how they could possibly make it work for each of their departments.

If you know of a business that would benefit from the LEAP training, or would like to learn more, contact:

Ashley Withers at ashleycchoices@gmail.com.

You can also visit our booth at the upcoming Disability Expo in March 30th!
