Talk About "Reeling 'Em In"!
New Salem's 2018 Sportsmen's Fish Fry Was a Huge Success!
Over 500 people came out to New Salem on March 17 to enjoy a fantastic fish dinner, stirring music from the Heritage Quartet, and an excellent presentation by guest speaker Dave Awtrey. We literally were stuffing people wherever we could find a seat. After Dave shared the gospel, 17 people indicated that they had prayed to receive Christ, and over 40 men dedicated themselves to being positive spiritual leaders in their families. Special thanks to Mike Mayfield, Jamie Vetter and the Sportsman's Sunday School Class, as well as a small army of volunteers who helped make sure this event ran smoothly (although we are still trying to figure out how the pastor won that kayak!).

Easter is Coming!
Celebrate the Resurrection with New Salem on Easter Sunday, April 1, with a full morning of activities! During the 10:45 AM service, Pastor Alan will speak on "The Greatest Practical Joke Ever Played" (you'll have to be there to find out what this has to do with Easter).
Because it is a special day, there will be no evening service or activities at New Salem on April 1, so that you can enjoy the afternoon with your family.

Let Us Help You Invite Your Friends!
When you come to worship this Sunday, look for our Easter Postcard Station in the main lobby! Here you can address a postcard to a friend, jot a note inviting them to our Easter celebration, and drop the card into our Easter Basket. New Salem will take care of postage and mailing your card!
You'll also have the chance to fill out postcards in Sunday School this Sunday. Be thinking about who you want to invite!

Help Spread the Story of Easter throughout North America!
What better way to celebrate Jesus' resurrection than by helping share that story in some of North America's most spiritually dark cities?  New Salem is participating in this year's Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions. One hundred percent of this offering goes to support the church planting and relief efforts of the missionaries of the North American Mission Board. New Salem's goal this year is to collect $2,000 towards this effort. Please pray now about how much the Lord would have you contribute to this cause.
You can give to the Annie Armstrong offering in three different ways:
  1.  By placing your gift in the offering plate during a worship service, using the specially-marked envelopes in the pew rack.
  2. By sending a gift to New Salem through the mail (make your check out to New Salem, but write "Annie Armstrong" on the memo line)
  3. By giving online using the link below (be sure and select the Annie Armstrong offering from the drop-menu on the giving page)
Thank you for your support in sending the light of Christ across North America!
