We hope this message finds you well.

The past month has been eventful and historical and the year ahead will, no doubt, continue to be. This is why we want you to know our team will continue to be here to support you.

We have been busy identifying areas of development and planning the year ahead as well as strengthening ties with other groups and organisations to ensure we can have another successful year.

Today, we want to let you know of two forthcoming events but also to share the videos we arranged to be made at the National conference we hosted in November. They show the main plenary discussions and we would love for you to watch them at your leisure.(Permanent links can be found in the blog section of our website )

  • We would love for you to bring them to your place of work and use them as a conversation starter
  • Spark debate and ideas.
  • Find ways in which they could help you include everyone.
  • And get involved in making out industry one which reflects the world we are building.

With all this out of the way, all that is left is to wish you a wonderful day !

NAWIC National Conference 2019

Hosted and organised by NAWIC London & SouthEast with RICS

On the 15th of November and with the help of many wonderful coaches and speakers (as well as a team of volunteers from NAWIC and RICS) the London and South East hosted the NAWIC UK national conference at RICS.

Your feedback has been overwhelmingly wonderful and we are very touched. Circa 200 of you joined us on the day but our network is much larger as is yours.

Furthermore, we had generous sponsors who made the event possible and many Diversity led groups doing incredible work who joined us to contribute to the event.

(Conference brochure to be found HERE to help you look the speakers and their organisations up)

This is why we decided to invest in recording the plenary sessions. We want as many people as possible to be able to be able to benefit from the event and for the topics to remain alive beyond the day.

Do share with your networks and bring the conversation to your companies, your networks and your groups.

Let’s Walk the Walk and drive change together! Will you help us?

Shout Outs

We want to give a SHOUT OUT to the wonderful Katie Kelleher (Member and Crawler Crane Operator ) who has made a brilliant video to celebrate National Apprenticeships Week 2020. Watch it and share it! (LINK HERE

Another SHOUT OUT to our treasurer Emilie Wellman who is embarking in a new adventure having opened a beautiful B&B on the edge on Mendip Hills  (Bath and North East Somerset) . Emilie has kindly created a 20% discount code for NAWIC Members (code: NAWICLDN ) (LINK HERE)

Call for Venues/Hosts and volunteers :

We are a not-for-profit run entirely by unpaid volunteers. As we said at the conference, ruining NAWIC LDN&SE as well as doing our full time jobs requires some effort and time but it is fulfilling. If you can give some of your time to help deliver this year's calendar, we will be most grateful.

We need people who:
1. want to be part of the shaping of NAWIC's future
2. can work as part of a team,
3. can work within a established framework
4. can dedicate, at least 2 hours a week to nawic.
5. are happy to work remotely managing their own time (especially between meetings)
6. can ask for help when they need it, in order to ensure events get delivered.

Is this you?

This project relies on the generosity of many, including our partners * please raise your hand if there is something you would like to offer (venue, sponsorship, a site to visit etc

*The March event will be hosted by Herman Miller which helps greatly keeping costs down for the benefit of the entire network.

Can corporate memberships be shared between two/more people?
Unfortunately, they cannot. It is against our rules and it would not be fair to our other members.
  • Corporate memberships start from 5 memberships and, above that, additional memberships can be added individually.
  • Corporate memberships are activated once they are assigned to a person who will receive their membership number.
  • As companies pay for those, should the individual leave, the company will retain the membership (until expired) and can email us to reassign it to another person (for whatever time is left when the change happens)
