Join us for the first-ever NAWIC transatlantic event

We are very excited to announce the first transatlantic collaboration between NAWIC members from the USA and UK. An idea by our committee member Rosemary Silver will become a reality, for #iwd2021.

We hope this will be the first of many opportunities to share best practices and insight with peers from the other side of the Atlantic.

Moderated by Kizzy Ferrer (Past President-Greater Orlando Chapter), the International Women’s Day Panel (March 8th at 5PM Greenwich time ) will discuss the effect of COVID on women in the industry but will also look to explore ideas to build a brighter future for women in construction by sharing initiatives championed in both sides of the ocean.

Have you enjoyed the 5 minute commute from your bed to your desk? Or does the prospect of 8 hours of zoom calls fill you with dread?

Do you want to continue working from home after lockdown ends? Or are you raring to get back into the office?

A few weeks ago, WIA UK launched ‘The Future of Women in Architecture’ survey seeking to explore the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on women in the profession.

On the challenge of working from home, they found a nation divided and for International Women's Day 2021, they will share the findings and host a debate on home working.
