This is a very quick message to share with you several key updates :

Awards:

1. Constructing Excellence London and South East Awards: "The Constructing Excellence Awards are unique in their recognition of outstanding built environment companies and projects that have delivered improvements in all-round performance through collaborative working and a real desire to make a difference." The deadline is the 6th March 2017  (LINK)

2. CMYA. Construction Manager of the Year Awards, CIOB are very keen to break with tradition and have many more female applicants for the 2017 edition. The deadline is the 6th of March 2017 (LINK)

Free Training:

3. The Director of Choice Training Ltd a Plumbing & H&V training centre has made us aware they offer free scholarships for women who want to train and become part of the Plumbing industry. Do spread the word. (LINK)

6. RIBA emailed us a couple of days ago to let us know they are looking for a Creative Director for Guerrilla Tactics 2017 Deadline 28th of February (LINK)

7. London Design Festival has emailed us some vacancies. If you are keen on design, it may be worth having a look (LINK)

CPD:

8. Construction Ethics online course by CIOB: Yesterday the CIOB Academy launched a very interesting course aimed at encouraging a better understanding of the role which Ethics has to play in our industry. (Please see below for further information and to find out where to sign up)

9. Be the Action webinars: BESS Programme and Construction Coach have joined forces to host a monthly webinar on the 2nd Friday of the month to celebrate the people creating change in the industry. (Please see below for further information and to find out where to sign up)

10. Ecobuild 2017: The date is fast approaching (7-9 March) and the tickets are already available.(Please see below for further information)

Research help required:

11.  Shannon Murphy ,a final year student at Nottingham Trent University is writing a dissertation on women in the construction industry and needs help. (LINK)

12. Carly Swift,  an undergraduate studying BSc (Honours) Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management at the University of the West of England also needs help (LINK)
